Your Instructor

Andy Gibney

Andy is one of those martial artists that remember the ‘old days’.

When people trained in black and white and it was all about KFC and not UFC. But back then people craved martial arts and went wherever they had to get the knowledge.

After 6 years in the traditional arts Andy was drawn to Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino Martial Arts and attended seminars by every original Bruce Lee student he could find.

In 1990 he began training with Richard Bustillo and rose to become his main UK representative with a master grade under Bustillo. With Richard’s passing in 2017, Andy is now the head UK representative for the IMB Academy, furthering the teachings of Richard and Bruce Lee.

In addition, Andy was graded to 6th Grade Black Belt by Grandmaster Cacoy Canete in Doce Pares Eskrima.
